TOP army
Thanks Alberto!
Phenomenal army! Best I’ve seen.
Hello my friend. Very beautiful work. I d like to ask you about the 4th pic . The marines with yellow heads. it s a special squad or it is artist liberty ?
I ask you because i don’t find documents about this chapter.
Anyway even if it is your own liberty to make them like this it’s amazing.
What is it like team ?
BRAVO !
Hi George, thanks!
The idea of using yellow as a spot colour for the scheme came from a picture in the Forge World Badab War book, where a marine was depicted with a yellow stripe on his helmet. I decided to expand on that and apply it in more places. Yellow also happens to be the 2nd Company colour in the Index Astartes, so that reinforces the idea.
Using it for the whole helmet was a way to pick out certain specialist units, as you said. E.g. heavy weapons units. The idea for doing that actually came from a friend of mine, and the Blood Angels (which I used to collect) also do so.
