Hey, i just found your impressive raptors army in the web. Im starting one on my own using your guide. Just ordered some decals on your shop to support and thank you for theese detailed tutorials. What i would like to know is, how did u do the plasma glow effect on your models and which colours did you use for it.
Sitting on my Inceptors and hellblaster now and trying to get on your level 😉
Thanks Andreas! For the plasma glow I use three colours (all airbrush): Vallejo Model Air French Blue, Light Sea Blue and White. That’s it!
Love the models.
How did you do the flight stands?
Thanks! The flight stands are just 2mm brass rod with a slight bend at the top. I drilled 2mm holes into the models and the resin bases and superglued the ends of the rod into the holes. Then just painted them black.
Oh thats great, I thought there would be more to it. I am surprised that it does not need more reinforcing on the base. Good job.
Do you use a thinker rod for the stormspeeders?
The bases on these were resin and quite thick, so the holes could be fairly deep to secure the rod. 2mm is quite sturdy – I think I used the same thickness on the speeders.
Great. Thanks again for the help. Your Raptors are a big part of my inspiration to make the army.
Thank you 🙂
