A very nice model. Smooth weapon swaps improve the look of the original. The green armour has lots of depth which is offset well by the cream spot colour. Lovely smooth transitions on the power sword with chips on the blade added to chips on the armour providing another level of detail. The base is atmospheric without being so elaborate as to prevent use in battles. Perhaps the inside of the cloak could have done with more texture work/highlights, but that does not prevent it from being a brilliantly executed piece!

Thank you! For this off-white I use the Andrea Color White paint set, and a thin Agrax Earthshade wash 🙂
Which would be the color equivalents you used? I’m trying to get a similar result to your off-white, but I
always end up too grey or too brown.

Screaming Skull & Ushabti Bone would probably be the closest Citadel matches. Just mix some white in if it’s looking too brown or grey – and make sure you thin the Agrax wash with Lahmian Medium.
This is such an awesome conversion, I have this guy sitting ready to be built for my Silver Skulls tempted to do something similar!

What figure is this
It’s a conversion of a limited edition Primaris Captain. The original had a plasma pistol and power fist.
Could you show us how you did the conversion?
The texture and color for the cloak are amazing. How did you accomplish it?
Thanks! Gosh, it was a long time ago I painted this, but I think I did it simply by drybrushing successively lighter greys over the base black, and finally a Nuln Oil wash.
