Here’s the test model (and as I deem the test to be a success, the first completed model) in my Raptors force, and the first Primaris marine I’ve painted. There were a few unsuccessful tests which are being / have been stripped, so a whole squad of models painted like this will follow. Hope you like him!
Whilst it makes me sad that this will cut down on the number of new blood angels models we are likely to see from you, it has to be said that this is absolutely stunning!
In particular, I have see few examples of weathering executed more effectively on power armour.
Incredible job, can’t wait to see more!
Thanks very much Joe! I will never abandon the Blood Angels, and to their mighty halls I shall return. But sometimes even I need a break from red 😉
Hi man. I’ve been reading all your work about the Raptors until now, and you gave me the courage to start my own troop 🙂 I liked both the schemes and the lore behind them, so i wanted to start a new line of Marines to ally with my Wolves in some point. And I have a couple questions: Where did you get the eagle decals for the shoulder pads? Im not that good doing freehands. And, do you plan any kind of Camo scheme for them in the future? I’d love to see some examples for my own army.
Hi Tony, thanks for the kind words!
For the Raptor head decals, I plan to make some myself as soon as possible, but meantime there are a couple of options: https://www.chaptercustomizer.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/Scumb4g.Kustoms/
I hadn’t really thought about doing camo on the actual armour, though that might be cool for a specific unit… I have done some on cloaks:
