This model was about three months in the making because it was the subject of my first vehicle painting guide and I wanted to cover a variety of different techniques – particularly weathering and lighting effects.

To the shop I go.
Maybe a dumb question but would this be helpful from at least a techniques standpoint for blood angels combined with your guides for doing the infantry? I’m wondering if I can leverage a lot of the colors used in the infantry guide combined with these techniques for things like redemptor dreads.
Not a dumb question! And from a techniques standpoint I would say yes. I deliberately structured the guide to treat each technique separately – the intention is to create a toolkit so that readers can pick and choose. You would just need to swap colours.
Hey Luther, I heard your doing videos but I can see where I buy them?
No video tutorials yet – maybe in the future! I will be doing a video interview with Last Light Creative in the next couple of weeks 🙂
Fantastic as always. One thing that always makes me puzzle is weathering of Adeptus Astartes vehicles. I like a bit of scratching and dusting/mud, but would astartes…who are meticulous in the care, maintenance and in some case worship, allow their wargear to rust? Dont get me wrong….the effect you have painted is fantastic, and i would love to see you do some militarum vehicles in this style, just for myself painting, I hate to add rust to my marines……does that make sense or am i just nuts? LOL
