These were a lot of fun to paint. As a result the process went very quickly, up until the detailing which I spent a lot longer than expected and intended because I was having so much fun! So my hat’s off to the miniature designers for that! I do think they’re better without those little shields on the assault bolters tho 😉
Where did you get that warning ! symbol from. I’m assuming it’s a transfer?
Hi David, yep it’s a transfer, from the old Forge World Elysian sheet 🙂
What colour palette did you use for the green?
Hi Simon, have a look here… 😉
That guide looks wonderful. Thank you very much. I will take a look as I want to paint my Tau in a similar scheme.
I think it would look great on Tau!
Man… these are reallly stinking cool.
I’ve been on the fence about a color scheme for my new marines, and I think I’m going to go with this route. Love your work and tutorials!
Thank you very much Lee!
Your inceptors squad looks really good.
I am wondering how you manage to paint the exhaust of the jump pack, could you help?
Thank you!
For the blue glowy bits like that I use VMA French Blue, then Light Sea Blue, then White. Each colour covers a smaller area than the previous towards the centre or ‘hottest’ part. You can also add some edge highlights with white.
