This guide is designed for beginner to intermediate level painters. The aim is to achieve a good quality paint job in a way that can be replicated relatively quickly across an army. Some of the later steps are optional, so the method can be ‘scaled’ from rank and file to more special models such as commanders and characters.
A certain level of experience and understanding is assumed of basic painting techniques such as basecoating, layering, using shading washes and edge highlighting, but more ‘advanced’ techniques such as freehand or NMM are avoided to ensure maximum accessibility.

This is the second ‘How To Paint’ guide that I have purchased. In my opinion (22 years in the hobby) these are the best painting tutorials I have ever read.
The entire layout is fantastic. A lot of thought has gone into the design to make each step stand out and really easy to follow.
Detailed photos of every step are taken from multiple angles and are very clear, showing small details and the subtle shading, especially when it comes to airbrushing.
These high quality guides have improved my technical skill with practice, and made me really think about complementing and contrasting colours, to add realism and depth to my miniatures.
They are absolutely worth the price and I don’t think anyone would be disappointed for buying them.

I have several of the guides offered here and each one is stellar. The quality of pictures used is excellent enough to zoom in on them if you really need or want to see something specifically. All colors used are listed along with techniques to do things such as helmet lenses and other odd shapes (grenades for example). Would recommend to anyone.
